What is Yas Mega Mela?

Yas Mega Mela is the largest Indian lifestyle and cultural festival in the region.

The three day event will host a range of signature activities and features such as headline performing acts by Kanika Kapoor and Ankit Tiwari, Dhol drummers and Bhangra dancers. There will be a daily fireworks show to celebrate the biggest and brightest festival of lights “Diwali“.

Celebrity chefs Vicky Ratnani and Sandeep Sreedharan will be doing live demonstrations at the Chefs’ Kitchen sharing their latest recipes and cooking techniques. You will also be able to savour delectable dishes at the Taste India Experience serving the best foods, sweets and treats.

Indulge in health & beauty masterclasses from massages to skin consultations, mani’s and pedi’s and other beauty services.

Kids under 16 go free so don’t miss the exciting Kids’ Zone with carnival rides, bouncy castles, skill games and many more.

 

Where does Yas Mega Mela take place?

Yas Mega Mela takes place at du Arena, Yas Island. The venue is easily accessible from Abu Dhabi and Dubai and offers over 3,000 FREE parking spaces within a few minutes walk.

 

What are the dates and opening timings?

Thur – 31 Oct: 4PM -11PM

Fri – 1 Nov: 2PM -11 PM

Sat – 2 Nov: 2PM -10PM

 

What is the cost of the ticket?

General Admission fee: AED20

VIP Ticket: AED75

How do I get there?

du Arena is located on the Yas Leisure Drive on Yas Island. Over 3,000 free parking spaces are available within a few minutes walk of the venue. Location map.

 

Does everyone accept cash?
Yes, all rides, restaurants, exhibitors and bars accept cash in AED. Visitors can also pay by card at most stands and restaurants.

 

What if the event is affected by adverse weather conditions?
Unless advised by the local authority, the event will proceed regardless of any adverse weather conditions. So rain or shine, Yas Mega Mela will thrive no matter what!

As this is an outdoor festival, please wear appropriate footwear as weather conditions may vary throughout.

Should the weather take a turn for the worse, there are many covered marquee areas at the event.

 

Do I need to pre-book for a session at the Chefs’ Theatre?
The Chefs’ Theatre operates on a first come, first served basis.

Do children under 16 require a ticket to attend?
No, but proof of identification may be required. Children 17 and above require an entry ticket.

 

Are there any age limits?
No! All are welcome.

 

Can I bring my own food and/or drink?
No outside food or drinks are permitted into the site premises. A security check is carried out at the arrival gate.

 

Can I leave the festival site and come back in?
Yes, just ask security to stamp your hand for re-entry.

 

Are ATM facilities provided on site?
No, there are no ATMs onsite

 

How far is the parking from the venue?

Free Parking will be available near the venue. Shuttle buses will be provided from the R8 Parking.
